To the editor,
Beacon Falls was rocking on Saturday night, April 1, and that’s no April Fool’s joke. Everyone in the audience was thoroughly entertained by Aspen Dream Production’s rendition of For Better & For Worse, an interactive comedy wedding performance held at Beacon Hose Co. 1. Diners were treated to a delicious buffet prepared by Ken George of Cuckoo Kenny’s, LLC with help from Louise Koerber of River’s Edge.
This fundraiser, hosted by Friends of Beacon Falls Library to benefit the Beacon Falls Library Building Fund, raised over $5,000 through ticket sales, a 50/50 raffle and our generous sponsors and donors: Crystal Rock, River’s Edge Pub & Grill, Ken Viele, Matthew Fortney of Northstar Wealth Partners, Lioness Club of Beacon Falls, James Moffat of Atlantic Group Norwalk, Beacon Beer & Beverage, Beacon Falls Pharmacy, Beacon Falls Pizza Palace, Beacon Valley Carpentry, Beacon Valley Greenhouse, Betkoski Brothers, Big Y, Brown Roofing, Inc., Franklin American, Gabe’s Service Station, Goldenrod Corporation, Maria’s Tailoring & Alterations, Karen Ambari Longo, Liberty Bank, New Harvest Restaurant, O&G Industries, Olive Garden – Waterbury, Pillar to Post, Rydzik & Rydzik, Inc., Stop & Shop, United Day School, Willow Tree Montessori, Lions Club of Beacon Falls, Beacon Falls Rotary Club, Len Greene, and the Connecticut Community Foundation.
This was truly a community event that received support from our whole town and even from the surrounding towns. The fundraiser brought everyone together for a night of fun never seen before in Beacon Falls. Thank you to the hard working committee who made this event a reality, especially Isabelle Culotta, Sue Dowdell, Susan Levine, Melanie Miranda, Susan Cable, Wanda Mulinski, Paula Pelletier, and Mary Unfricht. Special thanks to Beacon Hose Company No. 1 for providing their help and lending their space.
Job well done.
